How do I know if I should file a claim?
If something happens to you or your insured property, or your insured property was involved in some type of accident that damaged other property or persons then you will most likely need to file an insurance claim. What information do I need to file a claim?
Although each insurance carrier might ask for slightly different information, below is a standard list of things you should have ready before you file a claim online or call your insurance carrier to make a claim:

- Policy number (you can find it on your insurance card).
- Date of the accident.
- Location of the accident.
- Description of how the accident occurred.
- Name, address, license plate, and insurance information for the other party involved.
- Name of the police department involved (if applicable).
- Police report number (if applicable).
- Pictures of the accident

- Be sure to file your claim as quickly as possible after the accident occurs.
